Oh Hey You.

Ask me anything   Just my ramblings of life observations. I have a bit of an obsession with random things. I'm a big fan of loving whoever it is you want to love, Capturing moments on film, Being a dork, learning everything I can about anything, and going on random adventures. I come up with crazy ideas and at times I dream a little to big.

But then I remember what is life without big dreams?

Currently living in LA and not Fred...living my dream and not it's not to be an actress. I'm just a girl in the social media world.

A adventure awaits.

Ask me Stuff!

LA t-minus 8 Days

I am so excited to go to California. The last time I was there I didn’t get to do much. But this I not only get to go with a few of my favorites but I get to see my friend Austin Renfroe (Check him out on youtube SO GOOD) preform at THE MOTHER FREAKING ROXY but I also get to go to JMOMS and see some of the fantastic Starkids.

As if it couldn’t get better, we are also going to Disneyland and have found some awesome discounts for tours and what not. I will totally be a tourist (even though I was born there) and have no problem with that.

Anyone out there going to the JMOMS on Monday and in the area that knows some fun things to do at night for a group of 20 and 21 year old college gals?

2012 is my year. On top of all of that I also get to interview with DGM an awesome company for an internship!

Joey Richter on Life After AVPM and Fans

After the immediate success of AVPM, how did your life change not just on campus but outside as well? You obviously know there are hundreds of blogs, tumblrs, facebook groups, fan fiction pages dedicated to you. How do you handle that? Do you ever find it overwhelming? Do you think this success helped give you new opportunities, besides the obvious? Any cool experiences you have gotten to have because of it?

Even though AVPM was a big success at U of M, before youtube, I rarely was stopped on campus. School was kind of a neutral zone from the fandom. Which was nice. I got to finish my college career while maintaining a Starkid career on the side. It was like living a dual life sometimes. I’d come back to LA and visit the guys when they lived here and we’d have fan sightings at Disneyland, restaurants, and sometimes just on the street. Then we’d have our occasional convention appearances or other events where our fans would congregate more in the masses. And for the first few experiences, it was utterly mindblowing to see amount of people who supported us. It still is. I’m amazed daily by the dedication of our fans and their talents. It brings me to tears sometimes. Its never been overwhelming in a bad way. In a good way? Certainly. When we premiered AVPS at Infinitus in Orlando last summer (2010), I can’t express the feeling I had when seeing over 2000 people crammed into this enormous ballroom, screaming and going nuts over the show. And the fact that I got to share it with some of my best friends was just incredible.

I wouldn’t be doing practically anything that I’m doing right now without the success that Starkid shows has brought me and the rest of it’s members. I’ve gotten to travel across the country, attend Comic Con 3 years in a row, meet my agents, make countless new friends, and essentially just begin building my career. And NONE of it would be happening without the support of my fans. They are a devout, talented, and insanely sweet group of people and I owe so much to them.

I’m just gonna say that after I read this, I fell even more in love with Starkid and Joey..It’s so true. We are so lucky to appreciate a group that appreciates the fans so much..despite how crazy we are. Oh and if you like this you should follow my fan account. Starkidprobs
